Crown for the Cross

The base of the Crown of Thorns for the Cross has been completed.

From the very beginning, having a Crown of Thorns was something we deeply hoped for, but it often felt out of reach. Between the design and finding someone capable of building such a structure, it seemed nearly impossible. There is only one other Crown of Thorns like this in Mississippi, which shows just how unique and complex this is.

Because of that, we want to sincerely recognize American Tank & Vessel. This part of the project would not have been possible without their willingness and ability to take on something of this scale and significance. They made room for this project and put in the effort to help bring this vision to life, and that means more than we can fully express.

The Crown itself is a massive effort involving multiple businesses and moving parts, which will all come together when the cross is erected.

What you see here is the base of the crown, and next, the thorns are being made, and then they will be added by others. We look forward to sharing soon.
