About SMCC Foundation

The South Mississippi Cross of Christ was founded with a simple but powerful vision — to build a 120-foot Cross that stands as a lasting symbol of faith, hope, and God’s love for all who pass by.

What began as an idea has grown into a mission supported by a community of believers who share a desire to create something meaningful and lasting. This Cross will not only be a visible landmark along Highway 98, but also a place where people can reflect, pray, and be reminded of God’s presence in their lives.

Our goal is to build more than just a structure. We are creating a space that points people toward hope — a place that can bring peace in difficult moments, encouragement in uncertain times, and gratitude in seasons of blessing.

Through the support of generous donors, dedicated members, and local businesses, this vision continues to move forward step by step. From securing land to developing the design, each milestone is a testament to faith, unity, and a shared purpose.
