OUR GOAL
South Mississippi Cross of Christ Foundation plans to build and maintain a roadside Cross along Highway 98 or a significant highway in South Mississippi. This Cross will serve as a visible reminder of God’s love, grace, and sacrifice for generations to come. Our prayer is that it will sow a seed for salvation to those who are lost and be a peaceful space where individuals and families can pause, reflect, and pray — a place that points hearts toward hope in every season of life.

Travelers
Highway 98 is traveled daily by thousands of people — families, workers, truck drivers, visitors, and those simply passing through. Visible both day and night, it will stand tall against the South Mississippi skyline, offering a constant reminder of God’s presence.

As the first cross of its kind in South Mississippi (south of Jackson), it will also serve as a meaningful landmark — a symbol of faith that welcomes travelers and leaves a lasting impression on all who pass by. Whether someone is on a daily commute or a long journey, the Cross will stand as a sign of hope, strength, and unwavering love.
